  • Powerful harmonies: Their rich, multi-layered a cappella singing creates a captivating wall of sound that showcases the strength and beauty of the human voice. Within this music are the intricate rhythms and harmonies of their native South African traditions.
  • Soulful melodies: The music often combines elements of Zulu musical traditions with influences from gospel and other genres, resulting in songs that are both moving and uplifting.
  • Upbeat rhythms: While known for their soulful harmonies, their music also incorporates lively rhythms and footwork, infusing their performances with joy and energy.
  • In addition to their legendary work with Paul Simon on his 1986 album Graceland, Ladysmith Black Mambazo has recorded with numerous artists including Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton, Sarah McLachlan, Josh Groban, Emmylou Harris, and Melissa Etheridge.
